Why I’m Starting a Blog Now (Yes, Really)
Alright, to start, I’ve been interested in having a blog, but have never stuck with it. I have a Tumblr out there somewhere, a dusty Medium account, maybe even a WordPress from 2014. This is the first time I’m actually committing to something on a site I use regularly—and, fingers crossed, might even stick with.
So why now? Honestly, because my brain is noisy. Full of thoughts, lessons I’ve learned the hard way, things I wish I knew sooner, and plenty of “oh no, don’t do that” kind of moments from my career. My notes app is bursting at the seams with random ideas and it felt like time to start writing some of it down. Call it a brain dump with mildly helpful intentions.
(It’s also great way to test out some AI prompts without any pressure.)
I’m not doing this because I have it all figured out. I absolutely don’t. I’ve face-planted my way through a lot of things, professionally and otherwise. The upside? I’ve learned a ton. And if sharing a few of those lessons can help someone else avoid a similar mess (or just feel a little less alone in theirs), then maybe this is worth doing.
This blog isn’t polished. It’s not a guidebook. It’s real stories, opinions, practical-ish advice and a bit of humor to get us all through the messier and harder parts of figuring life and work out.
If that sounds like your kind of thing, you’re in the right place. Let’s see where this goes!
